Education
I graduated from Adelphi University in 2012 with a Master's degree in Education. I have a BA in English from Adelphi as well. During my graduate year at Adelphi I was in an accelerated program for select students in the STEP program for teaching. I student taught in a diverse middle school and high school during this time. I currently have my initial teacher certification through NY State.
Experience
I am currently an English teacher at a high school that has a 99% passing rate on the Common Core English Regents Exam. I have taught grades 9, 10, 11, as well as several honors and remedial classes. I have been a teacher for five years and have been tutoring for six years. Throughout my college career I have worked with students ranging from ages 8-18 years old. I have tutored students of all ages from test prep on a weekly basis to regents preparation for juniors in high school during examination time.
