EducationStony Brook - BS, Biology
ExperienceI am in my final year at Stony Brook University, where I am working towards pre-med with a major in biology. While I enjoy studying natural science, I have an overall passion for learning. This passion to learn is a quality that I strive to pass down to my students. As a tutor, I believe it is important to adapt each lesson to fit the wants and needs of the individual. Each student has a different style of learning, and if the teacher can highlight that student's strengths, while helping him or her overcome weaker areas, academic success is guaranteed.I have experience tutoring a wide range of students, all with different learning styles. Some of my students enjoy working independently, whereas others need to be able to see something more concrete when learning difficult concepts. I believe it is important to give each of these students a positive experience, where they are able to pursue academic greatness. My biggest goal is to inspire my students, turning their hated subjects into some of their favorites.I teach a range of subjects such as social studies, mathematics, science, and English. I am especially skilled in teaching life sciences such as anatomy, biology, and physiology. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading, singing, and visiting the theater.
