I recently completed the requirements needed to graduate from SUNY Genesco's Ella Cline Shear School of Education. The academic training has equipped me with the skills I need to continue pursuing my passion as a teacher of young students.I've had the opportunity to pursue my passion in New York City as a substitute teacher over the last few months. In terms of related expertise, I was a counselor at a summer camp for north of six years, previously tutored in reading and phonemic, and helped out at a boarding school during the summer for high school students.I am naturally a very positive, upbeat, outgoing, and uplifting teacher to those I teach, and I endeavor to transmit these important qualities to other children courtesy of tutoring.In terms of my preferences, I particularly enjoy teaching science, phonics, reading comprehension, and reading. Working with children one-on-one, I like to take the opportunity to understand my students so that I can detect their strengths, weaknesses, and goals.When I'm not working, I enjoy running, taking part in community events, and generally being involved in my community.
